Have you seen a mom cat with her babies before humans come to separate them? Keep kittens together. Keep families together (take the mom, too). Don't separate kittens. Put the whole group up for adoption together.
In the wild, kittens live with their mother in the bushes. So don't separate the kittens if the mom is no longer with them: keep the kittens together.
